This is from an email I received this morning:

This is a time of change for Rotary as we embark on new endeavors and launch a new grant model for our Foundation. But one constant is the need for ongoing financial support so we may deliver sustainable solutions to those communities in need. During the 2012-13 Rotary year, our Annual Fund goal is US$120 million; approximately US$100 per capita worldwide.  It’s not an exorbitant amount for any one person, but if we met that goal across our entire organization, it would catapult our Foundation’s capacity to do good in the world to an entirely new level!

At our meeting last week we focused on The Rotary Foundation and Members present discussed the concept of "every Rotarian every year". We agree that it would be good to keep this before us and talked about how easy it is to make the $US100 donation, or any other amount more or less, online. At the meeting I committed to try the system by making my personal contribution and I can tell you i works.
