Last week's speaker gave us some good insights into working with children and the notes for the talk are in a separate article. The subject fits very well with the intention to have Safety Management Officers at District and Club level. I am hoping we can follow this thread.
This week we had some issues getting on to ClubRunner but all is working again now.
John and Zilis have gone on a Cruise today and will be away for a couple of weeks. Betty and I will be taking holidays immediately after next week's Pub Night. Vice President Jerome and PP John will be acting President depending on their availablity while I am away.
Attendance has been very low over the past few weeks. While the emphasis has shifted from meeting attendance to Service, the fellowship and interaction at weekly meeting is still important to a vital club and provides a good level of fellowship.
Joy Ferguson had agreed to take on the role of On to Conference and will keep us posted and encourage our participation. Have you put the event in your diary? 14th to 17th March are the dates.
