Katrina from the Diamond Valley Learning Centre gave last week meeting a great overview of what must be seen as as community organisation with a very good cause. Hearing first hand about the effects of the programme was excellent. Attendance for the meeting was good.
We also made an announcement at the meeting in regard to our incoming officers for the 2013-2014 year.
Earlier in the week I received formal notification from Connie D'Amore that she is unable to continue as President Elect and subsequently as President for the next Rotary Year. Connie is experiencing unexpected work pressures and these coupled with family commitments make continuing impractical.
On receipt of that advice, I, together with Graeme Knorr who is Vice President Elect, called a meeting of appointed members of the incoming Board plus some potential members to discuss the situation.
After discussion it was the unanimous decision to ask PP Paul Craig to take the President Role for 2013-2014 and to appoint Francis Acquah as President Elect for that year and hence President for 2014-2015.
During this process we were also advised by Martyn Thompson that he would not be able continue to carry the Secretary role for the new year and as part of finding best solutions for a positive path forward I agreed to take on that responsibility.
PE Paul gave some indication of how he sees the next year unfolding and we will look to him to present this to us in more detail. Essentially we are looking to be a united team of people finding new and innovative ways to move the Rotary Club of Greensborough forward.

There are still appointments to be made for various committees and these will be advised in due course.
Paul and Dawn Craig will be on leave during June and July and so our Changeover will take place later in July. At this stage we are looking at the 20th and will confirm.
