After a break over Christmas abd January we are back!

Well at least we are back to producing the eBulletin although I am not actually back in Melbourne yet. I hope to be at the meeting on the 8th February.

I have been sending some news about Betty and me to a few people and have included an adaptation of that here for the anyone who is interested.

These past months have been very interest for us with some big change happening and going to happen.

We have sold our house with the intention of downsizing a little bit and moving to Doreen. We have decided to build and have bought land from a plan which means we will be waiting for a few months for development then the building time. We will live in our caravan for most of this year and do some travelling.

This is my last year of doing internal audits for the ACA as I move to another phase of retirement. Maybe that should still be repositioning as I have taken up a major voluntary role as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Fusion Australia Ltd. January to June the travel will be related to completing the audit work.

Fusion is in the middle of major restructuring, and the Board in its strongly governance role is totally new so some challenges already emerging. I have had connection with Fusion for many years and am honoured to be asked to be one of the external Trustees and the Chairman of the Board.

In December I celebrated my 70th birthday, firstly with family in Tasmania and then with the Melbourne family members so I feel very blessed.

Our family is increasingly a big focus for us. Our newest granddaughter, Indiana, has had her first birthday and our great granddaughter, Brylie, is 17 months old now. The little ones keep us young and make us feel a bit older at the same time. The photo was taken at the family celebration. Adrian is inset because he was sick on the night.

Added to this, of course, I will be in the planning stage for the year as President of our Club and am booking for PETS etc. After the end of June life will change with much less travelling although we will be touring in September and I will have a week in China to conclude my role of Chairman of the Board of Directors for the company there.

Too much information!!??  If you have read this far you have done well. Thanks.

Yours in Rotary

David
