Making The Grade
Dear Janesville Noon Rotarians and Friends:
We are excited to begin a new Rotary Year as Co-Presidents. We know we have a rich history in this club that has flourished for more than a century. We have already experienced the support and dedication of our immediate past-presidents, Dave Warren and Mick Gilbertson, the past and current board members, and all of those who come to the meetings every single week and give so generously of their time and treasure.
Together, we have fashioned a list of goals for our coming year and what we want to accomplish.
- We will welcome five new members to our club.
- We are well on the way to accomplishing a goal of thirty media and social media posts.
- We will accomplish six service projects in our community.
- Expanding on our already strong supper club gatherings, we are planning to offer fifteen social/fellowship activities.
- Our goal for annual fund contributions is $10,000, and we hope to raise $3500 for Polio Plus, supporting Rotary International’s goal of eliminating polio from the world.
- We will double the number of Rotary Youth Leadership Award Attendees from three to six students. Young people are our future leaders.
- Our impact on our community will expand by increasing our $2000 community grant awards from six to ten.
- Two of our members will participate in Rotary District Trainings and President-Elect Training.
- Four of our members will attend the District Conference.
- We propose activities that will educate our members about our club, our programs, and our committees.
We have a busy agenda, but we are aware that the Rotary International motto of “Service Above Self” is a goal by which we can all thrive.
Yours in Service,
Sue Boettcher and Lois Smith
