Paul Harris Fellow
Today we honored Fred Terry with a Paul Harris +2 recognition for his contributions to the RI Foundation.
In becoming a Paul Harris Fellow + 2, Fred Terry joins a remarkable company of people throughout the world, all recognized for their devotion to the ideal of good will, peace and understanding. It is the goal of Rotarians the world over, and one that Fred clearly shares through his support of the R.I. Foundation.

 Congratulations and thank you, Fred!

Red Badge and Induction
New member Kathy Hansen was inducted as a Janesville Noon Rotarian today and introduced herself in her Red Badge talk. You'll love learning how her life led her to Janesville and Kandu Industries as Executive Director and her dedication to many non profits and good causes, including Rotary. We're lucky to have her in our Club- be sure and welcome her next time you see her!
Todays Meeting
- Happy Birthday to Mark Ackerman on 7.20 and Gary Smith on 7.22!
- We had some special guests at our meeting today, including Ed Futa, past COO of R.I. Watch the Zoom meeting to see everyone who joined us. It is great to see a full room of Rotarians again!
- Our fundraising Calendar Raffles are ready to be sold. Do you have your packet of 10 tickets? If not, reach out to Rick and set a time to pick up at Jax printing.  The first drawing will be on Monday Aug.23rd at our meeting ($1000 winner!) and continue each week until the final drawing on 12.20 ($1000 again!). Drawn tickets are returned to the drum for another chance so people can win more than once. That's 15 drawings for $25, and a total of $4,200.00 in payouts. Only 1000 tickets will be sold.
- Happy Dollars: Lots of shared good news today, and $13 added to our Happy Dollars in July which will go towards our August event.
- Thanks to all the Rotarians (25 or so), family and friends who showed up and worked hard on Saturday morning at RBG. The time went by quickly, and it was gratifying to see that portion of the north hill go from weedy to clean. This is a work in progress, and we will schedule another volunteer work date in September. Phil Hull celebrated his birthday working alongside his Rotary friends and said he planned to get ready to cheer on the Bucks in the afternoon. Whatever he did, it worked. Thanks to Rick for getting this opportunity scheduled.
- This Sunday, from 2-4, the family of Hal Robb is having a life celebration at Rotary Gardens from 2-4 PM. They would love for friends to stop by and share some memories of Hal. Invitation is below.
- The weekly raffle pot of $16 was won by Mick, and the JP of $767 rolls over.
- RSVP to Cassie about the  Saturday August 7th Kayak outing and cookout at Dave and Kathy Arndt's farm.  We hope you will all save the date and come enjoy some fun and fellowship the first Saturday in August.
- If you would like to attend our monthly Board meeting on Wednesday (7.21) in person or via Zoom, please let me know. All are welcome to attend!

Ryan George and Laura Owens spoke to us today about the upcoming Rock County 4-H Fair. After a year's hiatus, the Fair is back and ready to showcase all the efforts of the kids in the 13 area 4-H Clubs. You'll love learning how Laura got started in 4-H (she gets my vote as Fairest of the Fair!) and learn a lot about what goes in to making this oldest 4-H Fair in the country. You'll also learn how to support all the exhibitors, what not to miss, and the entertainment highlights. There was a large showing of hands in the room when Ryan asked who had participated in 4-H and the Fair. Any guesses on who the earliest entertainment act was at the Fair and how a Janesville Noon Rotarian is connected? Watch the meeting recording and find out!
