Afghan GSE Team Visits Saginaw

An Afghan Group Study Exchange (GSE) team visited the Saginaw Sunrise club on Friday, June 17.  These young professionals area able to visit the US courtesy of contributions to the Rotary Foundation.  This represents Afghanistan's first such team.

The Rotary Foundation’s GSE program is a unique cultural and vocational exchange opportunity for businesspeople and professionals between the ages of 25 and 40 who are in the early stages of their careers. The program provides travel grants for this team teams to exchange visits in paired areas of different countries. For about four weeks, team members experience our Great Lakes area to learn about US culture and institutions, observe how their vocations are practiced in the US, develop personal and professional relationships, and exchange ideas. 

This is but one example of how Rotary works toward world peace and understanding among countries. 

The Rotary Club of Saginaw Sunrise meets every Friday at 7:30 a.m. at Davenport University.
