The United Nations (UN) yearly marks the International Day of Peace on September 21 for commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace within and among all nations and peoples. As Peace affects so many aspects of our everyday lives, this day is in support of building a more peaceful world for everyone.
Rotary International has also identified Peace and conflict prevention/resolution as one of its 7 areas of focus. Since last Rotary Year and continuing this Rotary year, Rotary club of Paramaribo supports and cooperates in a Peace and conflict prevention/solution project focused at the young people of Suriname.
