ROTARY CLUBS OF ARUBA, BONAIRE, CURACAO & WILLEMSTAD
ZONE/CLUB REASSIGNEMENT ANNOUNCMENT
 
 
 
The Rotary International Board of Directors has approved the transfer of the Rotary Clubs of Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, and Willemstad from Zone 21, District 4370 to Zone 34, District 7030, effective January 1, 2017.  As a result of this transfer, the new boundary descriptions for the two districts will be:
 
District 4370
Effective date:  January1, 2017
VENEZUELA, that portion east of the western boundaries of the states of ARAGUA, GUARICO and latitude 70° in the state of APURE.
 
District 7030
Effective date:  January 1, 2017
ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA, ARUBA, BARBADOS, BONAIRE, CURAÇAO, DOMINICA, FRENCH GUIANA, FRENCH WEST INDIES, GRENADA, GUADELOUPE, GUYANA, MARTINIQUE, MONTSERRAT, ST. KITTS-NEVIS, ST. LUCIA, ST. VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES, SURINAME, and TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO.
 
The primary purpose of this announcement is to foremost make the above decisions more well known throughout Zones 33/34.  Closely aligned with the announcement is the concomitant necessity for all our Zones 33/34 Rotarians to be an abundantly WELCOMING GROUP.

The 4 clubs in Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao and the remaining clubs in District 4370 will continue their normal operations including engaging new members, paying all club invoices to RI and District 4370, contributing to The Rotary Foundation, and participating in service projects. The 4 clubs will change course and abide accordingly to the January 1, 2017 decision. 
 
The transfer decision of the Rotary Clubs of Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, and Willemstad from District 4370 to District 7030 was a methodical, judicious process. Many concerned and conscientious individuals participated in the decision process and will participate in the implementation process going forward.
