On Friday, January 27, the Rotary Club of Paramaribo Residence also completed a maintenance service with minor work at the Shri Ganesh school. The work was done on the toilet group which was donated to the school as a joint project with the Rotary Club of Purmerend (NL) more than 10 years ago.
The headmaster received her maintenance report from Rotarian Roberto. The Rotary team was able to surprise the cheerful children and teachers with a tasty treat.
It is worth noting that the school has a 4-person team of interior caretakers who work in a rotating schedule and support the children after using the toilet. They keep the whole school clean and pay close attention to hygiene and covid protocol during breaks. The school grounds and classrooms looked quite neat and tidy.
