Today, Sunday 6 February 2022, several fellows and friends of Rotary Suriname participated in the Miami Marathon in Miami, United States and in Paramaribo, Suriname in the Surinamese version. The opportunity was given to anyone to sponsor the various participants for a certain amount. The total amount collected will go to the benefit of 3 institutions: Huize Betheljada, Suresur and the Kennedy Foundation.
Very early in the morning, the water stations were manned by our enthusiastic water stop hosts who were ready to provide the athletes with a refreshing refillable bag of water. The runners and walkers were also enthusiastic and covered their distance with a smile.
We would like to thank all sponsors and especially the participants who have committed themselves to support the aforementioned institutions in a healthy way.
