Rotary District 7030 Goals for 2011 – 2012
The main goals for the District 7030 set forth by District Governor Lara Quentrall-Thomas are:
- Family of Rotary
- Continuity
- Changemaker Award
- The Rotary Foundation
Our Rotary Family includes anyone who has shared the joy of Rotary, and this year, clubs are
challenged to reach within to undertake three 3 activities:
a) Membership Challenge — consider how your club can encourage quality professionals to become Rotarians.
b) Undertake a family activity during Family Month in December.
c) We cannot forget the ongoing challenges faced by our Haitian neighbors, so all clubs are asked to adopt and/ or fund a
The continuity of already established service projects such as those focused on Diabetes, Literacy, Water or Youth should be continued and expanded. In addition, and in order to contribute to the survival of our planet, this year every Rotary, Rotaract and Interact Club in District 7030 shall plant ten (10) trees. Together, we will plant more than 1,000 trees, to help recycle water, prevent soil loss, and provide homes and food for wildlife.
For 2011-2012 RI introduces the ChangeMaker Awards, to accompany Presidential Citations, and
recognize Rotary clubs that make an extraordinary impact during the year through their work in the 5 Avenues of Service.
