Dear fellow Rotarians,
I stand here before you as a proud member of the Rotary.
Proud to be a member of an international organization; a community of leaders who exchange ideas and take action at home and around the world.An organization where“Service above self" is key.
Proud to be a member of Rotary Club Paramaribo Residence who has brought forth leaders:
  • Immediate past District Governor 2014-2015: Elwin Atmodimedjo
  • District Governor Nominee 2017-2018: Waddy Sowma
And it is with great honor that I have accepted the position as President of our Rotary Club Paramaribo Residence. We have a successful club with members who are using their gift, may it be time, knowledge and vocation, to successfully complete projects.Our club has also had successful past presidents who have lead and motivated our club and have set a great example for future presidents. I was fortunate to work closely with some and have learned a lot from them. We have enough resources and leaders in our club to also make this year a successful one.
The goal of this year’s board is to reach our objectives as set in our year plan. This year we will also focus on:
  • Engaging with our fellows from our Rotaract Club Fresh – they are the leaders of tomorrow
  • Fundraising – a signature fundraising project- to secure funds to carry out our projects
  • Promoting fellowship to come to a much closer participation of our members in club activities
  • Promoting fellowship with our sister clubs to increase the “one Rotary feeling”
 
We thank Immediate Past President Guido Koorndijk and his board for the successful management of our club in 2014-2015.
Fellows we thank you for your trust in our board. Together as a team, we will just do it and continue the good work with our united powers: Let us be a gift to the world!
