Kentucky Derby Event is a huge success

The group organized our first annual Kentucky Derby Party at the Amersterdam Bar and Grill in downtown Nashua. The weather didn't cooperate and the horse didn't show because of lightning, but after all was said and done, the Souhegan Valley Rotary Club was able to raise over $1,400 of which 50% will go directly to The Carriage Barn. The other 50% will be put to good use to help run future Rotary events as well as helping to meet traditional Rotary objectives including providing clean water and greater access to the Polio vaccine in 3rd world countries.
