ROATAN TREASURES LAUNCHED

Our newest fund-raising venture, Roatan Treasures Cook Book, was launched Nov 1, 2012 with a tasting party at Clarion Suites Roatan at Pineapple Villas. This cook book is filled with 450 recipes from Rotary members, Islanders, family, friends and others from as far away as South Africa.

Local artist, Cynthia Parchment’s artwork was used for the front and back covers, as well as section dividers, adding a blast of color. 40% of the donation monies will be used to fund education programs and scholarships for Roatan children. The cookbook since it's November 2012 introduction has sold out it's first printing.

Paul Gatlin, 2012-13 President of the Rotary Club of Roatan, conceived the idea over a year ago, and with the help of Lin Coyle, Janice Carter and Cynthia Parchment, it became a reality.  For a donation of $20,  Roatan Treasures is available at the Tourist Information Booth in both Mahogany Bay Cruise Terminal and the Port of Roatan Town Center (Coxen Hole), as well as The Bulk Gourmet in French Harbour.
