Members of the Rotary Club of Victoria fill purses collected for homeless and otherwise disadvantaged and vulnerable women. The purses, filled with soap, face cream, deodorant, tooth paste and brushes, and more were delivered to the Sandy Merriman House for Women. Upon hearing that there are more than 100 purses, Cool Aid Team Leader Michaela Goodall observed, “We presently have 28 clients in the shelter and they will each get to choose their own purse. They will love it and the contents are things they really need and often miss. The purses will also be made available to our drop-in clients and we will share this wonderful gift with the other shelters as well.”
The purses were donated by wives and friends of Rotarians.
