$1,000 donation to Afghanistan veterans who have suffered mentally and physically
$1,000 to Greater Victoria Curling Academy for programs for youth ages 10 to 20
$2,500 in prizes for Victoria Science Fair for schools
$3,000 scholarships for exchange and Interact students  at Esquimalt High School
$5,000 for trauma counselling for refugee family
$7,500 IT structure upgrades for Bridges for Women Society
$10,000 to Victoria Conservatory of Music for on-line
streaming
$3,500 for nine clean water projects in Kenya through a District Community Grant
$32,000 for purchase of Mark 16 sailboat to Disabled Sailing 
Association

And there’s more:
we collected winter wear for the needy; 
we welcomed an exchange student from Thailand
we held a Gala as a major fundraiser for the disabled sailing boat and Food Rescue
we contributed weekly to Polio Plus and Rainbow Kitchen through our raffle
we individually supported Wounded Warriors bikeride
we donated weekly to Polio Plus or Rainbow Kitchen in the name of our speakers.
We looked after ourselves too...
 at a Christmas social for neighbouring clubs; 
we gave matching Paul Harris points for contribution until the end of June;,
we held a family picnic for members and families;
we hosted each other at Surprise Dinner events
we welcomed many spouses and guests at Christmas
we continued learning through speakers in international, national and local topics.
