A meeting of the COVID-19 Subcommittee was held on 4/9/20 and chaired by Conrad.
JIM GODBOUT'S EFFORTS
- Masks: $3,500
- Setting up facility in Biddeford for rescue workers: $1,500
- Donation to OOB social worker: $300
- Hand sanitizer: $1,000
- Contributions have been made at Jim's expense - he is willing to accept some reimbursement
- If for any reason equipment should fail, we are reasonably sure Good Samaritan law protects club from liability
SACO COMMUNITY CENTER
- 100+ meals were served to senior citizens and shut-ins at last event
- 150+ participants are expected at this week's event
- Don proposes donating $500 to this program
- Brenda seconds the motion
HOSPITAL
- They have enough face shields
- Local businesses have been donating various goods/food to the staff
- Off site workers are not receiving as much attention as hospital staff
- Karen believes we should prioritize helping those who have more pressing needs
- If we do provide any donations, local small business should be looped in to benefit as well
VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA
- Sanitizer, masks, and cleaning supplies are needed
- Don has about a case of hand sanitizer (intended for Esther House or as needed)
SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAMS
- Meals are available for any child 18 & under
- Everyone is encouraged to participate - the school gets reimbursed
- The school has applied for a grant for a "giving shed" - people leave extra items for others who need them
- Food is being distributed through April vacation
- There is also a food shed at Fairfield school in Saco
- Conrad will check in with OOB school contacts
PRIORITIES
- As this situation could be ongoing for several months, we will be as frugal as possible

- Kaitlin seconds the motion and there are no objections.
