The HMP initiative is a collaborative effort among local coalitions, the Department of Health and Human Services’ Maine Center for Disease Control (ME CDC DHHS), Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services (SAMHS) and the Department of Education (DOE). The HMP initiative is supported primarily by the Fund for Healthy Maine with federal grants from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, SAMHS and DOE. CHCC’s Drug Free Communities program, or Project Alliance, receives Federal funding from the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP).
