- Bernice – The backpacks will be distributed on August 28 at the Second Congregational Church and Seacoast Chapel from 12-2 and 2-4. Volunteers are still needed. Contact Bernice if you’re able to help.
- Randy – There are still tickets available for the Cruise for a Cause cruise. Tickets are $40 each. There is still room for about 30 people. Mark your calendars for next Thursday, Aug. 23rd from 6 – 9:30.
- Reminder: AUG 23 is the JOINT MEETING of the ROTARY CLUBS. It will be held at Duffy’s. Time: 6 pm social followed by the joint meeting with the District Governor.
- President Joe announce Kristin Lane has accepted to chair the Biddeford Saco ROTARY fund committee. We thank Kristin for taking this project on.
- Roland announced $23,000 for the refugee program was just wire transferred to fund the program for the next three months. This money will provide for an education specialist, a staff supervisor, materials for the school, a literacy center, healthy after-school snacks and for a parent’s program. This is part of an $89,000 grant received for the refugee program.
- President Joe announced this is the second posting for Morgan Stoner, nominated for Biddeford Saco ROTARY club membership by Mark N.
