Frank asked for help on Friday 10/16 at YCFCU at 8 am to label dictionaries. He also sent around a sign- up sheet for distributing dictionaries in December.
 
Karen thanked the first 4 Rotarians for sending in their $100 Raffle money:  Frank G., Joe, Chuck and Mark T. She said it never happens like this and please SELL, SELL, SELL! Raffle night is November 12th at Duffy’s.
 
Bill then rattled things off so fast that I could hardly keep up. Here goes:
  • He reminded everyone about the food drive on 11/14. Saco Bay will be at Saco and OOB Hannaford stores and our club will be at Biddeford Hannaford and Market Basket stores. We need volunteers.
  • Thank you Karen for doing the press release for the Food Drive.
  • Thank you to all the early sellers of their $100 raffle tickets.
  • Thank you to Carl for selling the house – Yay!
  • Saco Bay is sponsoring the new Sunset Club. Does our club wish to be a co-sponsor of this new evening meeting club? Jim moved to sponsor the new club, Peggy seconded and all were unanimously in favor.
  • There is a fundraiser for human trafficking and slavery on October 30th. Our club is a sponsor and we receive 2 tickets. Anyone interested in attending this costume event, please let Bill know as he will not be going!
  • There will be no meeting on 11/25 or 12/30. That means I only have to take minutes three times in November!
 
CLYNK Update:  We have raised $149.10 so far this Rotarian year.  Since the inception of the program, we have raised a total of $1,119.40 (the equivalent of 20,542 containers!).  Keep drinking! As you can see, every nickel adds up!  I (Julie) am in the process of obtaining more labels.  We have gone through over 400 labels-which means 400 bags!
