How many Rotarians does it take to change a light bulb?

Volunteers needed to help upgrade lighting at Midcoast Hunger Prevention Program.

PLEASE NOTE:

This project was originally scheduled for November 12, but the LEDs did not arrive as promised. So we are re-scheduling for a future date. Please check back for the new date once we have confirmation from MCHPP staff that they actually have the LEDs in hand (and not just a promise from the distribution company that the LEDs will be here).

We will be removing fluorescent tubes and installing LED tubes.  This will eliminate a potential mercury hazard (fluorescent tubes contain mercury, which is a neuro-toxin) and save money (LED lighting uses less energy, lasts longer, and costs less to operate).

Please call or email me, Fred Horch, if you can help.  My home phone # is 725-9104 and my email is fred.horch@gmail.com.

If you have a step ladder, please bring it.  This is an easy service project, but does require some people to climb up on ladders, reach overhead, take out a light bulb, put in a new light bulb, and carefully put all the old fluorescent lighting in boxes so I can take it unbroken to Riverside Recycling in Portland.

With enough people to help, this project should take just a few hours to complete.

Midcoast Hunger Prevention Program is located in Brunswick, Maine, behind the Hannaford store and next to the railway tracks.  They are in the back of a parking lot shared by a few buildings. There is a sign at the driveway entrance and MCHPP is on the front of the  building facade.

Address: 12 Tenney Way, Brunswick

Thanks & hope to see many of you on the re-scheduled day, whenever that may be!
