Club Meeting October 6, 2015

Vice-President Joe Blake opened the meeting with the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance and the Rotary Four-Way Test.  Scott Seabury gave the invocation and the club members in singing "God Bless America."

 

Club members present: Dale Baker, George Beiter, Joe Blake, Peter Das, Jed Dery, Frank DiGennaro, Greg Heineman, Heidi Huhn-Partain, Dick Kisiel, Luis Lee, Jack Muska, Ken Pascoe, Jay Presser, Scott Seabury, and Tami Zawistowski. 39.5% of membership present

 

Heidi Huhn-Partain introduced her guest, Melissa Mack.  Melissa is a prospective new member.

 

Heidi Huhn-Partain, who co-chair of the lobster fest, announced that the event will be held on Tuesday, October 27 at the Fox Hollow Club in West Suffield.  The lobster dinner is $25/person and the steak dinner is $20/person.  Club members are invited to bring spouse or guest.  Heidi ask that member contact her through email to reserve dinner(s).  Her email address heidi.partain@brightstarcare.com.

 

Jay Presser informed members that Food Share in Bloomfield is seeking again this year members who are willing to do some food packing.  Volunteers are needed on October 28 and November 18.  Jay will send out a reminder.

 

Without a speaker, Joe extended table talk.

 

Peter Macris is celebrating his birthday but was not present to hear our wonderful rendition of "Happy Birthday."  

 

Blue Ticket Winner:  Jed Dery (again) and Ken Pascoe the side winner.

Queen of Hearts: Luis Lee drew the ace of hearts and missed winning the $49 jackpot.

 

Joe Blake adjourned the meeting with the singing of "America."
