Club Meeting November 8, 2016
 
Opening and Welcome:  President Jackie Guzie opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and the recitation of the Rotary Four-Way Test. Scott Seabury gave the invocation and led the club singing of “God Bless America”.
 
Members Present: Dale Baker, Gayle Demko, Jed Dery, Frank DiGennaro, Jackie Guzie, Gail Handley, Clark Mason, Karen Mason, Don Miner, Jack Muska, Paul Pace, Ken Pascoe, Ray Perleoni, Scott Seabury, Gordon Stagg, Thomas Sullivan and Nancy Viggiano. (18/34   53%) 
 
Guests: Windsor Visiting Rotarian George Hermann; Natalie Donais-former Windsor Rotarian & prospect sponsored by Bob Lowell; Jon Kozloski- prospect sponsored by Jackie Guzie.
 
Announcements/Program: In lieu of a formal program, a couple members discussed status of events and announcements:
 
-Jackie Guzie announced the Rotary Board meeting was postponed until 300 pm on Nov 15, 2016. It will be a lengthy session including detailed budget discussions. She also announced the delay of new member inductions due to Election Day absences and Membership Chair Luis Lee’s temporary illness. The hope is these will occur in two weeks.
 
-On a request by Tom Sullivan, it was confirmed that the Rotary Christmas party will occur Tuesday Dec 13th  at Oak Ridge Country Club.
 
- Ken Pascoe asked what are the criteria and process to declare someone an honorary member. Jackie said she will discuss in detail at next week’s Board meeting and relay answers to members.
 
Birthdays and Anniversaries:  Dale Baker was the recipient of a very rousing rendition of the Happy Birthday song in honor of his special day.
 
Blue Ticket Winners:  Tom Sullivan had the winning blue ticket, with sides won by Jed Dery and Gayle Demko.
 
Queen of Hearts:  Gordon Stagg had the winning ticket again this week. He received two chances to draw, but did not select the Queen of Hearts. Next week’s drawing $40+
 
Adjournment: Jackie Guzie adjourned the meeting and Scott Seabury led “My Country ‘Tis of Thee” as the closing song.
