Opening and Welcome:  President Dick Kisiel opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and the recitation of the Rotary Four-Way Test.  Luis Lee provided the invocation and led the club singing of “God Bless America”.
 
Members Present: Dale Baker, Joe Blake, Gayle Demko, Jed Dery, Frank DiGennaro, Gail Handley, Greg Heineman, Heidi Huhn Partain, Richard Kisiel, Luis Lee, Jack Muska, Ken Pascoe, Roger Pratt, Jay Presser, Charles Roumas and Gordon Stagg.  (16/33….48%).
 
Guests: Tari Marshall-Day, Assistant Gov 7890 (Cheshire CT Rotary).
 
Announcements: President Kisiel made several announcements:
 
- Dick Kisiel thanked Karen Berasi for volunteering to write a monthly article for the Suffield Observer covering the activities of the Suffield Rotary.
 
-Next Board Meeting – Feb 13 @ 5 pm and any Suffield Rotarian is welcome to attend.
 
-Dick introduced our Assistant Governor, Tari Marshall-Day.  Tari hailed from New Zealand and Majorca, Spain prior to moving to Cheshire CT and is enjoying her role as Assistant Governor.  Her favorite Rotary moment this term was experienced while visiting Ethiopia and Kenya when she witnessed a massive parade in honor of the World Polio Day. Tari’s pride in the Rotary role of conquering polio was fully experienced that day.
 
PROGRAM: Dick Kisiel presented Greg Heineman, a member of the CT Real Estate Board. Greg shared his of history growing up in Hartford and then his entry into the Real Estate profession.  Greg discussed the real estate market in our community and the challenges the internet has imposed on the profession.  He also outlined the regulations the State of CT now levies on the business.  Greg provided a useful packet of information regarding the trends and valuations of homes in this area.
 
Blue Ticket Winners: Blue ticket winner was Gail Handley; with sides won by Jack Muska and Greg Heineman.
 
Queen of Hearts:  Joe Blake had the winning red ticket but did not select the Queen of Hearts. Total winning pot now stands at $134+.
 
Birthdays and Anniversaries: None
 
Adjournment: Richard Kisiel closed the meeting with a group singing of “God Bless America”.
