Club Meeting December 11, 2018
Opening and Welcome: President Dick Kisiel opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and the recitation of the Rotary Four-Way Test. Scott Seabury provided the invocation and led the club singing of “God Bless America”.

(21/32….66%).
Guests: Our guest speaker Alyssa Zawaiiai – Student of the Month – and parents Michelle and Joe with teacher sponsor Maureen Harnett..
Announcements: President Kisiel made several announcements:
Dick welcomed the Student of the Month and parents to our meeting.
Surveys: Dick collected completed surveys and asks any missing surveys be emailed to him. He will distribute another survey for those who may need one to complete.
Holiday Party: The Holiday Party was a wonderful success. Those who attended enjoyed the venue and the DJ. It was suggested to book next year’s event on the second Tuesday of the month as has been traditionally scheduled.
Charles Roumas: Charles officially resigned as Vice President/President Elect as he relocates to California. We will miss him and all wished him well in his new home! We thank Scott Seabury for stepping into this role to complete the 2018/2019 term.
Salvation Army Bell Ringing: Dec 22 & 23 at Dunkin Donuts and Highland Park. Joe Blake will handle set up and take down of the donation kettle; a sign up was passed and Dick will contact Interact Club to request their assistance again this year.

PROGRAM: Dick introduced Maureen Harnett, the teacher who nominated our Student of the Month. Ms. Harnett applauded Allie Zawaiiai for her work with the Best Buddies organization, Student Senate, Theatre productions, Spirit Night organization, and National Honor Society. Allie expounded upon her Interact Club involvement, noting she had folded many boxes and also rung the bell with the Rotary last year. She would like to follow an environmental science path in the future.
Blue Ticket Winners: Blue ticket winner was Jed Dery with sides won by our Student of the Month, Allie, and her sponsor, Ms. Harnett.
Queen of Hearts: Greg Heineman had the winning ticket and did pull the Queen of Hearts. Congratulations to our big winner with winning pot at $1210.
Birthdays and Anniversaries: Three birthdays: Jackie Hemond, Gordon Stagg and Don Miner.
Adjournment: Scott closed the meeting with a group singing of “My Country Tis of Thee”.
