Club Meeting May 10, 2016
 
Opening and Welcome: 
Dick Kisiel opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and the recitation of the Rotary Four-Way Test.  Scott Seabury gave the invocation and led club members sang “God Bless America.”
 
Members Present: 
Dale Baker, Jed Dery, Greg DeSantis, Frank DiGennaro, Guy Fortunato, Gail Hanley, Dick Kisiel, Robert Lowell, Don Miner, Tom Modzelesky, Jack Muska, Paul Pace, Ken Pascoe, Jay Presser, Scott Seabury, Gordon Stagg, and Tom Sullivan Attendance: 49%  18/35
 
Announcement:
Dick Kisiel asked club members if they had a preference to either meet in the main dining room or the room adjacent to the patio.  Members unanimously selected the room adjacent to the patio.
 
Paul Pace announced a successful golf committee meeting.  All chairs to various committees have been named.  The committee will meet before the next regular club meeting.
 
Scott Seabury announced that a farewell party in honor of the Kehoes will be held on June 12 between 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. at Suffield by the River, Season’s Restaurant.  The Kehoes will be relocating to North Carolina.  Tickets are $22.00.  Please contact Linda Stevenson at 860-668-4119.  If you cannot attend, you may contribute to a gift.  Mail your check to Linda at 1470 Mapleton Ave, Suffield.

Program:  Guy Fortunato introduced our student of the month Kate Colson.  Kate will be graduating in June and will be attending the University of British Columbia to study marine biology.  She has considerable interest in studying about killer whales.  Besides being a member of the National Society, Kate’s other school activity interests include the Earth Club, World Language Honor Society, swim team, and Student Council representative.
 
Birthdays and Anniversaries:  None
 
Blue Ticket Winners:  Greg DeSantis had the winning blue ticket, with sides won by Dick Kisiel and Tom Modzelesky.
 
Queen of Hearts: Dick Kisiel also had the winning ticket but did not select the queen.  Next week’s drawing $302+
 
Adjournment:  Dick adjourned the meeting with the singing of “America.”
