- Jackie Guzie reconfirmed the board meeting is postponed until June 13 for those wishing a participation slot. She then conveyed important info on three members: 1) Gil Ahrens has fallen and injured his knee and is receiving therapy at the Suffield House for the next two weeks. Charles visited him today; his spirits are good and looks forward to his return. 2) Tami Zawistowski has been absorbed in CT state legislature budget deliberations, but wanted to express her appreciation to our membership for the wedding anniversary flowers she received. 3) Ed Walsh and his wife have experienced the sudden tragic loss of a family member; the club sends its condolences and looks forward to welcoming him back.
- Past President and Rotary Foundation Chair Jay Presser reminded members we are in the final week of our annual member solicitation for the Rotary International Foundation. He stated that he can be mailed checks by members unable to attend these meetings, as he recently received such donations from Gil Ahrens and Tami Zawistowski referenced above. He is pleased so far with this year's club response.
