Club Meeting June 14, 2016
 
Opening and Welcome: 
Jackie Guzie opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and the recitation of the Rotary Four-Way Test.  Louis Lee gave the invocation and Tom Sullivan led club members singing “America.”

Dale Baker, Gerry Crane, Jed Dery, Guy Fortunato, Greg DeSantis, Jackie Guzie, Gail Hanley, Greg Heineman,  Dick Kisiel, Louis Lee, Robert Lowell, Don Miner, Jack Muska, Paul Pace, Jay Presser, Tom Sullivan, and Jim Wood.  Attendance: 41%
 
Announcements: Paul Pace have an update report on the golf tournament.  Paul was pleased to announce that the club has a full roster of players for the tournament.

Program:
Greg Parsinian recognized Gail Hanley with his Paul Harris award for her service to the club both now and during his term as president of the club.
 
Guy Fortunato introduced this month’s student of the month, Noelle Albert.  Noelle will be graduating from Suffield High School and will be attending the University of Connecticut to study nursing.  Her interests include hiking, drawing, recycling, and theatre.             During her high school career, Noelle participated in ten theatre productions.  Noelle’s two older siblings were previous student of the month recipients.  She is pictured here with her parents.
 
The club also welcomed back previous student of the month recipients.
 
Birthdays and Anniversaries: The club recognized Jed Dery on his birthday with the club’s traditional rendition of “Happy Birthday.”
 
Blue Ticket Winners:  Jay Presser had the winning ticket, with sides won Paul Pace and Gerry Crane
 
Queen of Hearts: Greg DeSantis had the winning ticket by did not draw the lucky queen and win the $387 jackpot.
 
Adjournment:  Jackie adjourned the meeting with the singing of “My Country ‘Tis of Thee.”
