Club Meeting December 19, 2017

Opening and Welcome:  President Richard Kisiel opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and the recitation of the Rotary Four-Way Test.  Luis Lee then gave the invocation and led the club singing of “God Bless America”.

Members Present: Dale Baker, Karen Berasi, Joe Blake, Gayle Demko, Greg DeSantis, Frank DiGennaro, Natalie Donais, Gail Handley, Greg Heineman, Richard Kisiel, Luis Lee, Dick Miner, Jack Muska, Roger Pratt, Charles Roumas, Gordon Stagg and Nancy Viggiano.  (17/33….52%).

Guests: none.

Announcements: President Kisiel made several announcements:

-A big thank you to the club members who weathered the cold and rang the bell for the Salvation Army.  The pot was filled both days and we look forward to learning the total collected.  The Interact participation was amazing and we thank the kids for their involvement. Thanks again to all.

-Welcome to Karen Berasi, our newest member. 

- PROGRAM: In lieu of a formal program, cards were distributed and members encouraged to note an event that was embarrassing, or somewhat naughty or risky, and not sign the card.  Three cards were drawn at random, read aloud, and members of the group encouraged to guess who they believe was the author.  Those guessing correctly the name of the actual  writer received a chance at a $5 bill and Frank DiGennaro was the winner of that prize.

Blue Ticket Winners: Charles Roumas had the winning blue ticket, with sides won by Jack Muska and Gail Handley.

Queen of Hearts:  Jack Muska had the winning ticket and did not select the Queen of Hearts.

Birthdays and Anniversaries: Birthdays-Gordon Stagg and Don Miner; Anniversary-Joe Blake.

Adjournment: Richard Kisiel adjourned the meeting leading “My Country ‘Tis of Thee” as the closing song.

REMINDER: As noted in last week's minutes - there will be no meeting on December 26th- Boxing Day.
