Opening and Welcome: Richard Kisiel opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and the recitation of the Rotary Four-Way Test; Scott Seabury provided the invocation and led the club in “God Bless America”.

Announcements/Program: President Dick Kisiel opened the meeting with a welcome to all visitors and expressed our pleasure in the anticipation of the second Paul Harris award presentation which would begin following the dinner.
The Golf Committee – the event scheduled for this Friday-Aug 11
- 26 teams registered to date. Thanks to all who donated wine and have participated in the planning.
- Volunteers: Jay Presser thanked all who responded to his email and noted he would email confirmations of the times and locations for the volunteers.
Chicken BBQ - Tickets will be available for presale for the Chicken BBQ scheduled for the Suffield on the Green Sunday, September 10. Ken will need five volunteers to assist with painting a hut prior to that weekend; an email to enlist assistance will be forthcoming.
Paul Harris Award
Scott Seabury introduced our second 2017 Paul Harris award recipient, Ernie Petkovich. Ernie and his family members participated in a lively discussion of Ernie’s community service and dating practices.
Birthdays and Anniversaries: A ‘Thank you’ from Gordon Stagg for anniversary flowers.
Blue Ticket Winners: Clark Mason had the winning blue ticket, with sides won by Gail Handley and Louis Lee.
Queen of Hearts: Jack Muska had the winning ticket, but did not select the queen. Next week’s drawing $454+.
