Opening and Welcome:  Richard Kisiel opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and the recitation of the Rotary Four-Way Test and Scott Seabury provided the invocation and led the club in “God Bless America”.
 
Members Present: Dale Baker, Gayle Demko, Jed Dery, Greg DeSantis, Jackie Guzie, Gail Handley, Richard Kisiel, Louis Lee, Robert Lowell, Clark Mason, Don Miner, Catherine Morrow, Jack Muska, Paul Pace, Ken Pascoe, Jay Presser, Charles Roumas, Scott Seabury and Tom Sullivan. Attendance: 58%   19/33

Announcements/Program:  President Dick Kisiel opened the meeting with a welcome to Don Rawling who is joining the Board, replacing Ed Walsh who recently resigned from the club. 
 
Roger Pratt is now proposed for Rotary membership. Please notify a member of the Board if you have any concerns about his membership application.  Club members have seven days to consider and file any objections to Gayle Demko.
 
The donations at the National Night Out totaled $402; the Suffield Police Explorers and Suffield Volunteer Ambulance will each receive $201. 
 
Charles Roumas reports the Suffield Booster Club representative will present at our next meeting.  If any member has a presenter or topic of interest to the club, please let Charles know and he will schedule their presentation. 
 
The Golf Committee: 
The chairmen thanked all who assisted noting the Rotarian support was phenomenal and the event very successful.  Jack Muska announced an estimated profit of $19,000 projected. 
Volunteers:  Jay Presser thanked all who assisted, remarking all vacancies were filled and everyone said that they had a great time.
 
Chicken BBQ - Ken presented each member with a pack of ten tickets to sell prior to the event;  it is the presale which makes this event profitable. He will need five volunteers to assist with painting a hut and will work that project.
 
Program:  Ken Pascoe presented the 2017/2018 budget for approval.   It was noted that the monies utilized for scholarship funding are in a foreseeable spend down cycle and the club would require a plan for fundraising to maintain the same level of scholarship support.  The budget was passed as presented.
 
Birthdays and Anniversaries:  None celebrated; but a belated happy birthday wish went out to Dick Kisiel.
Blue Ticket Winners:  Gail Handley had the winning blue ticket, with sides won by Cat Morrow and Jay Presser.
Queen of Hearts:  Jed Dery had the winning ticket, but did not select the queen. Next week’s drawing $461+.
Adjournment: Dick Kisiel adjourned the meeting and led a closing song.
