BOARD MEETING
August 14, 2018

(Minutes Revised to separate Foundation Reporting from General Minutes)
 
 
  1. Call the Meeting to Order 5:05 p.m.
Board Members Present: Richard Kisiel, Jack Muska, Gail Hanley, Gayle Demko, Jon Kozloski, Don Rawling, Nancy Viggiano, Charles Roumas and Ken Pascoe
 
  1. Secretary’s Report:
Rotary Club Meeting Minutes of July 5, 2018 were read. Motion by Gail to approve seconded by Don; motion approved unanimously.
 
  1. Treasurer’s Report:
Jack provided the monthly financial report.  Balances as of April 30, 2018 on each account:
Operations:   $2,738
 
  1. Old Business:
Golf Tournament:Reported under Foundation
Wine Tasting Fundraiser:Project will be postponed until Spring.
 
  1. New Business:
Local and Large Scale Service Project:Dick will discuss at general meeting tonight
Annual Lobster/Steak Social:Oct 16 (subsequently rescheduled to Oct 9)
 
  1. Club Member Forum
No one from the club approached the Board
 
  1. Next Meeting Date: September 11, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.

August 14, 2018

  1. Call the Meeting to Order at 5:22 pm
  1. Secretary’s Report: Foundation Meeting Minutes of May 8, 2018 accepted as previously presented with changes as noted.
  1. Treasurer’s Report accepted as previously presented which noted:
Foundation: $30,380
Morgan Stanley-Managed Funds: $155,274
 
  1. Old Business
 
Golf Tournament:raised $34,090 in funds with approx. $19,000 anticipated profits.
Funds will be distributed as follows:the lesser amount of 40% of Net or 10K will be added to Packard account.This year $11400 of this will be designated Rotary General Funds with $7600 deposited into Rotary “Packard” Foundation account to be used for recreational and school affiliated projects as required by the Packard regulations.
 
Dick will review Club Goals at the next business meeting with membership

  1. New Business:
  • Dues:  16 members outstanding in their dues payment
  • Committee membership for 2018/19:  To be confirmed with members at next meeting
  • Chicken Barbecue SOTG Fundraiser:  Tickets have been distributed to members and available for sale
  • National Night Out:  As the project has been changed by the town to include food trucks, the Rotary will not furnish free hamburgers as in the past
