UNIVERSITY HILLS ROTARY CLUB

DISCRETIONARY GRANT APPLICATION

Rotary consists of 1.2 million people comprising 34,000 clubs in 160 countries around the globe who believe that Service Above Self can change our world. University Hills Rotary is a Denver club whose members are committed to serving our local community as well. Toward that end, we volunteer time and contribute funds to local service enterprises where we feel we can make a difference.
If you think your special project or activity might be of mutual interest, and if it matches the following guidelines, please consider applying for a grant from our club. Applicable guidelines:
1.     The Greater Denver Metro Area is given preference
2.     The focus is on Youth and Youth-Support programs
3.     The priority is on programs in which Rotarians can participate
4.     Preference is given to projects that have a University Hills Rotary member as a Champion.
5.     Funds should be used for specifically designated activities and must be measurable. We do not fund General Operating budgets.
6.     Grants are generally in the range of $200-$3000, the Community Service Committee will look at the budget submitted when considering the amount of the grant.
The deadline for submitting an application for a monetary grant is November 1st. If the application is for volunteer help only (i.e., "0” monetary request), the deadlines are: Jan. 1st, April 1st, July 1st, or October 1st.
Decisions will be made in early December for monetary grant requests, and in the month following the application deadline for non-monetary grant requests.
Submit applications to the Chair of the Community Service Committee at either of the following addresses:
