Join the fun on August 23rd at the Castle Rock Festival Park Farmer’s Market by Local Colorado and the Rotary Ducky Derby and Street Fair. The Farmers Market opens at 8:00. At the Market, you will find a carefully curated assortment of local, handcrafted foods, art and crafts provided by local Colorado vendors. Come for lunch and enjoy food from several local food trucks and beer on tap at the beer tent. Entertainment will be provided throughout the event by local musicians. Kids activities that are compliant with current health recommendations from the Town of Castle Rock will be available.
The main event for the day is the Ducky Derby, where thousands of numbered rubber Duckys are released into Plum Creek at 1:00 and they “race” a half mile to the finish line. The first ten Duckys earn cash prize money for their ticket holders. In addition, the winning duck provides the ticket holder a chance to win a new car. Proceeds from donations will be distributed to non-profits in the local area.
Each $5 donation to the Rotary Club of Castle Rock earns a ticket for one Ducky. Five Ducky’s can be sponsored for a donation of $20.
