The Rotary Club of Fort Morgan was once again recognized by the Northeast Colorado Area Agency on Aging with a certificate of appreciation for the club member volunteers who show up every week to deliver meals.
Members of the Rotary Club of Fort Morgan have been volunteering with Fort Morgans Meet and Eat at the Fort Morgan Senior Center for over 11 years to deliver meals to area seniors. Currently 9 members of the club rotate this wonderful opportunity three at a time every Friday, using their lunch hour and own vehicles to deliver these meals.
The Meet and Eat volunteers at the Fort Morgan Senior Center provide meals each day of the week for seniors who drive to the Senior Center to enjoy a warm meal and social interaction with others. Meet and Eat relies on home delivery volunteers like members of the Rotary Club of Fort Morgan and other community members to deliver meals to those who are unable to make it to the Senior Center.
