Rotarians and friends gathered at the Fort Morgan Airport on Saturday, October 19th, to witness the annual Duck Drop. The weather was perfect and the ducks fell true. Five winners were announced and will be awarded their prize money at an upcoming Tuesday lunch meeting.Image

The winners for this year's Duck Drop won cash amounts ranging from $44 up to $640 dollars.  Scott Aviation arranged this year's pilots and bombardiers, whose skillful flying resulted in a very tight bunching of ducks. Along with our planes, we even had a helicopter dropping ducks! This year's pilots and bombardiers were Sonny Weimer/Delbert McCracken, Justin Mook/Jason Lanyon, and Kyle Scott/Gary Kliewer.

After the winning ducks were decided by our judges Joy Bryant, Doug Crandall, and our exchange student from Spain Bea Quintanilla-Martin, everyone pitched in to help pick up the ducks on the ground. Mixed in with the ducks were toy army parachute men that could be turned in for door prizes. With everyone's help, the ducks were picked up in no time at all.

Many thanks to our sponsors:

Scott Aviation for organizing the planes, pilots, and bombardiers. FMS Bank provided door prizes for the children that picked up ducks and the parachute army toys mixed in with the ducks. Media Logic Radio's KFTM/BOB-FM provided the sound system. Viaero Wireless provided printing of the duck certificates that were sold to sponsor the individual ducks.
