Program: Benefits of Concrete Constuction
Rotarian, Wolfram Kasemir shared with the club the value and benefits of using concrete for building construction. Concrete can be resistant to fire, rot, mold, insects, rodents, floods, high winds, and bullets (:-o), and it's considered eco-friendly.  Wolfram has led construction projects in other countries using concrete as the main building component.  Less common in the United States, Wolfram advocated for concrete use, mitigating disaster intensity in situations such as the Marshall Fire, Napa Valley fire in 2017, and Crystal Beach Hurricane of 2008, (small list of US examples).
Rotary District Film Screening : Join or Die
Please join us on Saturday, August 3rd, for a fun evening with your fellow Rotarians from clubs throughout District 5450, prospective members, and community leaders for an important film that highlights the value of being a part of a group. As Rotarians, we work together for the betterment of our community, but many still do not fully understand how important this is for the future of our democracy and curating peace and prosperity in our world.
