Rotarian Jane Wolford spoke to the club about the Rotary Youth Exchange program.  This year, Twin Peaks will be sponsoring Jacobo Gracia Gracia from Alcoy, Spain; he will attend Longmont High School.  We are currently looking for one additional family to share hosting duties; this is generally a three-month commitment shared with two other families. Jacobo plays futbol (soccer) and is an excellent student.  If your family or a family you know of is interested in hosting, please contact Jane at drjanewolford@gmail.com. If you'd like to learn more about Rotary Youth Exchange, please visit our website.  https://rmrye.org/

The Rotary Youth Exchange program brings in high school students from Europe, South America, and Taiwan to District 5450 for each school year. Both Longmont and Twin Peaks Rotary have a rich history of hosting inbound students and sponsoring outbounders.
Additionally, Longmont Rotary has been invited to engage with Jacobo by taking him to dinner, sporting events, or other such special events, etc.  These opportunities deeply enrich the Exchange Student's experience. Jane and Jacobo will visit our club in August for a formal introduction.

“No matter how you get involved, Rotary Youth Exchange is an opportunity to open your arms to the world. We turn people into Global Citizens, and I’m not just talking about the students.”  Outbound student, Lena KratkyInbound from Austria, 2014-15.
