Sue Connelly presented a $3,000 grant check on behalf of the Longmont Rotary Charity Fund to Ralph Bazella of American Legion Post 32 to support the upcoming Veterans Stand Down and Resource Fair on October 29.
The annual event provides critical resources, financial assistance, and transition services to local military veterans, their families, and those experiencing or facing homelessness. The donated funds will directly purchase winter footwear and $50 retail gift cards for veterans in need, helping close a state grant funding shortfall. Bazella thanked the Rotary Club for its support and highlighted the American Legion’s ongoing year-round mission to assist veterans with emergency lodging, basic necessities, and community resources.
