Guidelines for Requesting funding from the Rotary Club of Port Alberni – Arrowsmith

_Overview

_{Rotary International has identified specific causes to target to maximize local and global impact. At the same time, we understand that Port Alberni has its own unique needs and concerns. The Rotary Club of Port Alberni – Arrowsmith is a service organization whose primary objective is service by: promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, saving mothers and children, supporting education, and growing the local economy. All monies raised through our local fundraising events are returned to benefit the Port Alberni area or the global community by way of our charitable work.}

_{There is no form to complete but we would like to know about your organization and have contact points to assist us in the decision making process. The following questions are for your consideration, but do not limit what pertinent information you provide in your submission:}

_{What is the name of the individual/organization requesting funding? Please include contact information including; phone numbers and email addresses;}
_{What is the purpose for which the funding is being requested?}
_{What is the total cost of the activity/project?}
_{What dollar level of funding is being requested from the Rotary Club of Port Alberni –Arrowsmith?}
_{Is this request intended to be the only source of funding for this activity/project or are other sources of funding being sought?}
_{How will the activity/project positively impact the individual and/or our local or global community?}

_{Religious organizations for religious purposes}
_Salaries
_{Government agencies}
_{Loans or investments}
_{Research studies}
_{Merchandise for fundraisers and auctions}
_{Symposiums, conferences, conventions, professional association meetings}
_{Merchandise promotions, partnerships or advertising for non-charitable events}
_{General awareness campaigns}
_{Parties, celebrations, parades, festivals and raffles}
_{Deficit funding}
