Helping mothers and babies survive childbirth in Uganda
Through several grants from The Rotary Foundation, Rotarians in our club and our local district led missions to Uganda to train physicians and midwives in techniques to help mothers and babies survive childbirth.
We worked with our medical partner, Drexel University College of Medicine to reverse the trend of a large percentage of mothers and babies not surviving at home, in community health clinics, and even in city hospitals.
