How to Compost Lunch & Learn

The West Reading-Wyomissing Rotary Club Foundation Grant is facilitating the establishment of the GoggleWorks Garden Community Composting System at Lauer's Park Elementary School. Environmental sustainability is a key focus for Rotary, and this composting project will contribute to reducing food waste in landfills, thereby lessening our environmental footprint.

Participate in a bilingual workshop (English & Spanish) led by Tiana Zabala, the Garden Manager at GoggleWorks, to learn composting techniques. The workshop begins with an empty compost area and a demonstration of a trash can compost bin. This economical method of composting is designed to enable individuals with limited or no garden space to effectively compost their kitchen waste. A vegetarian lunch will be served. Free parking in the GoggleWorks parking lot. Dress for cool outdoor weather, wear shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
