School Supplies - Berks Migrant Education Program

We have a great opportunity to serve underprivileged children about to start their Fall School term.

 

As you might know, many migrant laborers come to Pennsylvania every year to work seasonally in agriculture, lumber, etc. During this period, parents and society encourage their children to attend school.    However, most of these families are underprivileged and welcome any support for their kids' education, like school supplies. Berks Migrant Education Program https://youtu.be/BVvu3z5uw70

 

Our West Reading Wyomissing Rotary Club would like to collect school supply kits (back-packs, notebooks, pencils, etc.) for at least 200 children for the start of the 2023 Fall term.

 

•When: up to Wednesday September 6th

 

•Where? Options:

1.Bring supplies at the next Rotary luncheon on September 6th, at the YR Club. Dany Martinez will collect and deliver to the Migrant Program directly.

2.Send supplies directly at the PA Migrant Education Regional office from 8:00am until 4:30pm, at 2503 Kutztown Rd. Reading PA 19605. Contact: Marianela Mancebo tel. (717) 940-6583.
