 Announcement #1: Let Club Services Chair Terry Remigio know if you are attending Saturday night's Installation Banquet and if you are dining on chicken or prime rib (really? like who is picking the chicken????) By the time you read this your RSVP is due, so do it right now! Announcement #2: Our first meeting of Rotary Year 2018-2019 (RY 18-19) will be Monday, July 9th when we will be hosting DG Sandy Mortensen on the first club visit of her year as District Governor. Quite the feather in the cap for both SHRC and PEv/President-Elect for a few more days Talee Crowe!. OK, new Board Members, get out your daytimers, google calendar, or whatever you ipeople use and save the date right now! All members should be in attendance, especially all you newer members. All Board members should be prepared for a short synopsis of your goals (you can just copy this newsletter, really!) to give to the DG at 11:30 before the regular meeting! Announcement #3: Golf Committee will meet at Mark Johnson's home at 5:30 on July 10th! Sounds like another great fundraiser! Get your foursomes and corporate sponsorships  in ASAP! IT'S BRAGGING TIME! Rotary Foundation: Outgoing Rotary Foundation Chair and PEN Hugh Radke shared the good news of the awesomenessness (PP Sue Engelstad reference) of SH Rotarians and their generous giving to the Rotary Foundation! We exceeded our goals by giving $12,370 to The Rotary Foundation and designating an additional $1240 for Polio Plus! Our giving ranks us #3 in per capita giving in District 5450! Not too shabby! Pictured is PP Mike Peterson getting his Paul Harris +6 Pin! Well done, Mike, and Congratulations to Hugh! Oh, by the way, among the Aurora clubs we are (yet again) the standard bearer with $410 per capita giving. The Fitzsimons RC came in at $342, Gateway RC at $175 and the Aurora RC at $123 per capita! Woo Woo for us! Incoming chair PP Lloyd Gottman has set a (way too low) goal of $9000 for TRF giving next year. Let's blow that goal out of the water, eh? Rotary Service: Special shout out to Secretary/PP Bev Edwards and Treasurer Susan Aubin for their hard work and long hours satisfying all of the recordkeeping requirements for Rotary and keeping the books lean, mean, and clean! "The club could continue without a President, but without these two, we would be doomed," said President Nancy! Club Services: PP Terry Remigio re-upped his role so more good parties are sure to come. Terry highlighted a club outing to a play in July, a Carribean party in September (too much rum in the club supply), our always fun Holiday and Charter Night events, and a Cinco de Mayo party in May (too much tequila in the club supply!) Thanks, Terry, for putting on some great events this year! Membership: Outgoing Membership Director PP Joe Hughes had a -3/+5 year and was instrumental in making some changes to make SHRC more welcoming to a broader range (read younger!) member! Incoming chair PPX2 Jeff Kaes takes over looking to integrate our new members fully into the club while looking for new members in the nearby business neighborhoods and throwing a reunion party for former SH Rotarians. Special Note: SHRC donated over $20,800 to International and Community Services this year! Our little club? Really!? Yes, REALLY! Community Service: Chair Pat Pogue was taking a "kneeded" day off so PE Talee filled in thanking him for keeping our favorite local projects going. Incoming chair PP Darryl Harvey will continue to support Peaceful Schools, Gateway Domestic Abuse Services, Ronald McDonald (with champion PP Betsy Jansen), Century Elementary Special Things and Holiday gifts, and quite possibly a completing a District Grant for new kitchen appliances for the Ronald McDonald House! International Service: Chair PP Betsy Jansen's report was given by PP/Secretary Bev Edwards. (The Editarian hopes he got it all and some or most of the spellings are correct...here we go!) SHRC IS ALL OVER THE WORLD WITH A LOT OF DIFFERENT PARTNERS! We partnered with Club 31 Denver to fund a Moringa Leaf project in Africa, partnered with Kluge, Romania to equip a school for the vision impaired, partnered with the RC of Littleton for a project in El Salvador, partnered with RC of Modesto (CA) and Iradea, Romania for vocational equipment for a school, helped provide hospital equipment in Kolkatta, India, provided orthopedic equipment in Kluge, supported Breathing for Life in Ethiopia and will complete our Rotary Global grant for hospital equipment in Beius, Romania in March 2019! Oh, and we always buy a Shelter Box every year! Wait, there is more! About now your Editarian ran out of ink...but we are working on a Bulgarian Medical Equipment project, a Budapest project and another project in Constanta, Romania. Wowzer! Youth Service: PP Craig Essex will continue next year. This year we provided 10 scholarships to RYLA/yRYLA in partnership with Rangeview HS and Downtown Aurora Visual Arts. We are also working on a closer relationship with Rotaract! Vocational Service: Mark Rank will continue. This year he supported excellent off-site visits and our Vocational Scholarships. We should meet this year's winners next month! Look for these great programs to continue next year! Programs: Kudos to Susan Michalakes and PP Al "The Great Hortini" Horton for outstanding programs this year, some of which were entertaining, and some of which were absolutely jaw-dropping!

and new office holders are wondering why the H*E*DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS they said yes when the then President-Elect asked them to be on their board or be a committee chair, schedule programs, or worse yet, write the bulletin every week!
