Senator Todd views the role of an elected legislator as being in service to the entire state, not just her district. She also observed that the state-wide view is not shared by all of the other legislators she must work with. She emphasized that Colorado is not just served by Republican, Democrats, and Independents, but also by a split in Rural/Urban and Front Range/Western Slope interests. Her idea of a perfect bill is one that has bi-partisan and bi-cameral support as well as support from urban and rural legislators.
Senator Todd Reviewed the passage of SB1, the transportation bill, the PERA bill, and the bill on gerrymandering. We clearly ran out of time. Perhaps Senator Nancy will grace us again at Smoky Hill!
(Editarian's note: Sorry about the photo, somehow the image got corrupted and we just got a fuzzy one...another good reason for Senator Nancy to return!)
