Smoky Hill Sees the Fruits of its nearly $150,000 (total expense) Global Grant Project in Beius, Romania. The Rotary International Global Grant funded by several Rotary Clubs all around the world purchased and installed brand new urology equipment in the hospital in Beius.
I am pleased to report that the host club for the project, the Rotary Club of Oradea, Romania, sponsored an exceptional dedication ceremony in Beius on February 1, 2020, followed by a magnificent gala celebration in Oradea. The festivities were attended by project participants from the U.S., Romania, and from around the world, representatives from the equipment procurement organization, Assist International, honored guests, and local dignitaries. It was a truly remarkable dedication for an international project involving 16 different Rotary Clubs from 4 different countries. Your participation is greatly appreciated by the sponsoring Rotary clubs, the Beius hospital staff, and the Beius community. We even received press from a local television station, and a letter from the U.S. Ambassador to Romania.
