Round Rock Serving Center
Congratulations!  The Round Rock Serving Center has been selected for our annual DAP Grant Application Service Project.
 
The Round Rock Serving Center - Community Gardens Project includes 2-major construction projects submitted by the Master Gardener:
  1. Wheelbarrow Corral
  2. Fence Gate
All plans and building material lists have been received, cost estimates including tools, equipment rentals and miscellaneous expenses have been solicited for our application.
 
DAP Grant Project Team:  Cathy Danahy, Monica Valez, Rene Flores, Rick Villarreal and Jen Henderson.  Brad Van Houten will help manage our DAP Grant process.

What is a DAP Grant
District grants fund small-scale, short-term activities/projects that address the needs in our community and communities abroad.
 
What district grants support 
DAP grants fund a variety of district and club projects and activities, including:
  • Local service / humanitarian projects
  • Scholarships
  • Youth programs
  • Vocational training
How they’re funded 
DAP Grant funds are based on a percentage of a district’s Annual Fund giving three years prior, including Endowment Fund earnings. What we give to the Rotary Foundation today, we see a percentage come back in the form of DAP grants three years from now.
 
How have we used our DAP Grants in the past
Round Rock has historically used our DAP grant supporting Special Olympics before COVID.
 
IMAGINE ROTARY.  Imagine how Round Rock, our community will benefit from a small-scale, short-term project we can complete by April 2023 and use our DAP Grant funds.  Imagine the lasting benefits and the impact. DAP Grant Application aubmitted August 31, 2022, awaiting Disctrict Approval.
