Ms.McCoy, a retired Superior Court Judge of Santa Clara County, was a librarian & attorney in private practice before finding "her calling" as a prosecutor. She "specialized in prosecuting people who had committed crimes against children, including physical and sexual abuse, neglect, torture and homicide. After more than 20 years and with the encouragement of good friends, she ran and won a seat on the bench. She candidly admits "I won by less than 3% of the vote, which has always kept me humble."
