Yolande Wilburn was the speaker today. She is Director of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries. She gave a general update of the state of the library system. There are 10 branches including 2 under construction/remodel. She has held leadership positions in library systems all over California and also Dubai and Chicago! In 1996 a joint powers board was formed to oversee the city and county library branches, Watsonville is not part of this.
